Laura Goodwin came to Bowling Green to attend Western Kentucky University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Sociology.  Upon completing her studies she met her husband Todd, a Bowling Green native, and they began their life together, settling in Bowling Green.  Together they owned and managed Bread & Bagels, a local bakery, at which time Laura joined The Presbyterian Church (Todd is a lifelong member) and became active through the Chancel choir and directing the King’s Kids children’s choir.  Shortly after, she applied and was hired as the Director of Christian Education overseeing children’s ministry, as well as, some youth and adult opportunities.  Although not a formally certified DCE, Laura is very passionate about the position and has found ministry to be a real strength.  She is a member of the professional Association for Presbyterian Church Educators and a traveling missionary for Living Waters for the World, a mission which installs clean water purification to underdeveloped regions internationally.  She is an advisor for the Board of Missions, has served on many local boards such as the Sky Farmers market and advocates for sustainability and conservation.  She is the mother of Brooks, 8, and in her spare time loves to bike and hike and spend time in nature.
