The Presbyterian Church Columbarium

Sanctuary in the Chapel
So it is with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable, what
is raised is imperishable. I Corinthians 15: 42

Columbarium Dedicated May 27, 2007
The Presbyterian Church columbarium is now a reality.
Some three years have passed since the idea was first
broached. Various churches in Nashville were visitied—
some exterior, some interior installations. One location
in our church was considered and proposed to Session;
however, some questions and new ideas brought the
chapel into consideration. That location received final
approval. Armento, Inc. of Buffalo, New York, designed
and constructed the installation. Charles English, Sr. and
Larry Graham generously offered native Kentucky walnut
for cabinetry; Richard Zoellner designed and fabricated the cabinets. Those
entering the
chapel and sensing the sacredness of the worship space have praised the
installation as being
very appropriate. Our gratitude is expressed to the committee: Dr. Matthew
Covington,
Barbara English, Jerre Fitts, Donna Hill, Mary Lucas, Tom Moody, Larry
Warden—Keith
Carwell and Harvey Johnston, legal advisors.
