The organization spent the larger part of its 1998 budget in Central America in response to the effects of Hurricane Mitch. It also assisted many in the southern United States and Puerto Rico in response to Hurricane Georges' impact. Many states impacted by tornadoes received aid last year as well.
It has been an active organization and has earned our support as a line item in our budget as well as through the "One Great Hour of Sharing" Sunday.
