Missions and Fellowship
We have been created for good works which God prepared for us beforehand to be our way of life. Mission is our purpose and discipleship is our labor. We are inspired by scripture, faith, and the needs of others, to proclaim God’s love for the world in Jesus Christ in word and deed, to give justice to the weak and maintain the rights of destitute people, and to give generously from resources of energy and property.
God has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? -- Micah 6:8
"You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”-- Matthew 5:14-16
"For by grace ye have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God -- not the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life." -- Eph. 2.8-10
