Matthew Covington has been the Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green since January, 2003. He has previously served churches in Raleigh, North Carolina, Natchez, Mississippi, and Columbia, South Carolina. Matthew and Ann met as students at Davidson College, and their daughters, Claire and Elizabeth, are students at Davidson now. Matthew thrives on the work of ministry, and has had some difficulty cultivating hobbies away from the church. At one point, Matthew would only have been able to describe his hobbies as “composting and bog gardening.”  Recently, in an effort to become a more interesting person, he has added kayaking and bee keeping. Matthew believes that a critical task for the church in these days is pursuing Christ’s work by caring for people’s needs. Our church is attentive to its membership and our community.
