Floyd Hays Ellis Class –Room 201 This group is reading and discussing the book 'A Letter to My Anxious Christian Friends - From Fear to Faith in Unsettled Times" by David Gushee. Copies are available for $10 in class.
Coffee & Conversation meets in Room 202. This class uses the Lambeth Bible Study to discuss and discern God's will in the preaching text for the day. There is also good conversation about parenting, marriage, life in general.
Christian Thought Class – in the Conference Room. They are enjoying a Great Courses video series on "The World's Greatest Churches", by Professor William R. Cook, of the State University of New York. Explore theology, art, architecture in this visually stunning series.
The Morning Prayer group continues to meet on Fridays at 10:30am in the Tenth Street Parlor. We will use two different kinds of prayer practices that we have been/will be learning together: Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer. If you are new to these ancient spiritual practices you are not alone this is a brand new thing to most of us. Come and learn and grow closer to God through prayer. Hot tea will be served and candles lit!
