CHILDREN in CHURCH
All children are welcome to worship at our Church! Nursery is available for Infants through age 3 downstairs, as needed.
We have children's worship packets available in the Narthex and each week, children who complete their worship sheet may choose a treat from the Treasure Box (see Leslee Kirkconnell).
Our third through fifth graders assist in worship as acolytes.
"Children bring special gifts to worship and grow in the faith through their regular inclusion and participation in the worship of the congregation. Those responsible for planning and leading… children in worship should consider the children’s level of understanding and ability to respond… The Session should ensure that regular programs of the church do not prevent children’s full participation with the whole congregation in worship, in Word and Sacrament on the Lord’s Day.”
From “The Book of Order” W-3.1004 , Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
The Presbyterian Church is committed to providing for and encouraging the participation of all its members. This is especially true of our youngest Presbyterians as stated above. We carefully assess our flow of Christian learning from the birth of our children throughout each year of their lives.
