2000 Women's Retreat

Cathey Green, Karen Watson and Janie Riehm enjoy the "Welcome Reception" at All Saints.Glynda Stone helps prepare the Communion Table for the meaningful closing worship time.

A wonderful group of women attended the 6th Annual Presbyterian Women's Retreat on September 21 & 22 at the All Saints Retreat Center in Leitchfield, Kentucky. One new participant commented on the remarkable openness and caring exhibited by the group as we explored the area of giftedness with our speaker Mary Stubbs Davis. The addition of two optional workshops (on scrapbooking and Ukrainian eggs) gave us new hands-on experiences as well as a beautiful start to our own Women's Retreat scrapbook of past gatherings. Thanks go out to Kathy Zander for helping get this started.

The strong feeling that 24 hours is just not long enough has led the planning team to contemplate holding another retreat this winter (i.e. February 2001) with the change of location to our own church in Bowling Green. We'll keep you posted on the plans for this exciting opportunity.

Kathy Zander teaches us about proper scrapbooking as well as ways to add that special creative touch. Our speaker Mary Stubbs Davis from Louisville leads us through an explanation of our individual Myers Briggs profiles to help us understand our unique giftedness.

Susan Thomison concentrates on adding a design in wax to her Ukrainian Easter egg.Sue Bryant and Mary Ann McCelvey are having fun preserving the memories of past retreats in our new scrapbook.

Relaxing on the "veranda" of All Saints is Jean Coverdale, Peg Truman and Karen Watson.Diane Simmons with Gayle Hurley at the piano lead the group in singing.
