CURRENT EXHIBIT:

BOWLING GREEN GALLERY HOP SCHEDULE on Google Calendar

OUR PURPOSE

The Art Board of The Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green recognizes the important role the visual arts have played in personal expression and in religious life through the ages. As part of our church outreach ministry, our gallery displays art in a variety of media. Through periodic exhibits, artist receptions, and participation in local art events, our gallery contributes to the creative dialogue between church and community.

CALL TO ARTISTS

The Presbyterian Church Arts Board invites artists to submit to the exhibits in Gallery TPC. The gallery in the Fellowship Hall is used by church members, but also serves as an event space for the entire south central Kentucky community.

Eligibility and Selection

Open to all artists, amateur and professional, working in two-dimensional media, including photography. Wall mounted three-dimensional work will also be considered. The exhibit space will serve as a public art space and artists should take all persons, including children, into consideration and submit appropriate artwork. Available dates are listed in the online application.

Exhibit Space

The Fellowship Hall is a 50’x60’ space with can lights along the walls which light individual works of art. All work is hung from a traditional picture rail. Please be prepared to hang each piece with this format in mind. The Fellowship Hall is open to the public weekdays from 8:30am until 4:30pm (until noon on Fridays) and on Sunday morning, so feel free to stop by before submitting to VIEW the exhibit space.

Sales

Sales are encouraged, although it is not mandatory to have artworks for sale to be eligible for an exhibit. No percentage on any sale is taken by the church. Artists provide contact information for prospective buyers who then contact artists directly to arrange payment and delivery following the end date of the exhibit.
