Our philosophy
As a ministry of The Presbyterian Church, the PLC seeks to provide a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered educational environment where children and their families feel a sense of support, unity, and acceptance. Our classes are intentionally small (6:2 for 2 year olds, 8:2 in the 3's class and 10:2 in the 4's class) to enable the teachers to focus more on the individual needs and strengths of each child. The PLC was created to give preschool children the best possible start as they begin their school years. Our program was developed to fill a need for high quality Christian preschool education in our community. At the PLC, children flourish as they experience the joy of learning in a warm and caring place.
Our PLC teachers are one of our most important assets. Their most important attribute is an understanding and appreciation for young children and how they learn. We hire the most qualified teachers available. Our teachers have Bachelors Degrees or beyond, as well as experience teaching in public and/or private schools. They continue to attend conferences and classes to enhance their skills.
Parent Reviews:
“My son had the privilege of attending PLC for both the 3s class and the 4s preschool class. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were welcomed and shown around the entire place and it immediately felt like a second home. After 2 years, we were saddened to leave and start our new adventure in Kindergarten, but I couldn’t have asked for a better place to get my son ready. He learned so much, and grew from his great experiences there. The faculty is so nurturing and loving and the amazingly low ratio of 8:2 students/teachers in the 3s to 10:2 students/teachers in the 4s allows them to work with each student individually.
When we went for his Kindergarten screening, he took 3 sections of tests and scored 72/81! They said he did excellent, especially in the “concepts” section where he scored 27 out of 27 where many other kids were scoring 18! I felt so proud, but also so grateful that he had such a great place and teacher the past 2 years! Thank you for everything you have done, I love PLC!!!”

"The Preschool Learning Center has been a great experience for my son. The teachers truly love their jobs and the children. My son has learned things that I had no idea he was capable of grasping at his age. They focus on academics, manners, and of course, fun!"
